The Story Teller series was a collection of some of the world's best children's stories, poems and songs - both classic and modern - originally published by Marshall Cavendish between 1982 and 1986.

It was released as a fortnightly magazine consisting of 2 Story Teller publications of 26 cassettes, 3 Christmas editions, 26 Little Story Teller editions for pre-school children and a Song Book.

Each release contained an illustrated magazine accompanied by a cassette tape containing stories read by famous actors and celebrities of the late 20th century inc, Richard Briers, Sheila Hancock, Derek Jacobi, and Nigel Lambert.

Amazing sound effects and music also added to the magic and brought each story to life in a way never seen before or since.
